After three successful productions, we are very excited to announce the formation of the Building Stage Ensemble:

Guided by chief navigator Blake Montgomery, these eleven intrepid explorers will journey over the next seven months through the shark-infested waters of character masks and clown noses. We will use the tools, tricks and treasures discovered along the way to BUILD a film noir-inspired production for the fall of 2007.
This is the log of the journey.
We intend this journal to serve two functions. The first is to allow the ensemble members a forum to share questions and ideas about the work. The second is to give interested outsiders a glimpse into the company's development.
The Building Stage Ensemble's training and creation process is unique in Chicago.
We think that it's pretty cool.
